CVCYA is the place for young adults in Cleveland. Whether you’re a transplant here for college or work or you’re an Ohio native – you belong here.

OUR RHYTHM

LifeGroups are the lifeblood of the CVCYA community. Groups of 8-12 people meet in local homes throughout the week. We eat together, pray together, study the Bible together, and work hard to love one another deeply.

We are unashamed to worship God fully. Nights of Worship are opportunities for our entire community to gather for prayer, to sing together, and to share what God is doing in and through our community.

We love Cleveland and we love Jesus. So, we take the message and love of Jesus to our city by doing good deeds in hopes of creating good will with new friends so that we can share the good news of new life in Christ.

Followers of Jesus should have the best friends and the most fun – period. Meet-Ups are opportunities for fun and fellowship. We also expect that we’ll use these fun opportunities to invite more people into our community.

THE TEAM

Lisa Richardson

Next Gen Admin Assistant

Lisa assists the CVC Next Gen team – helping with event planning, discipleship tracking, family assimilation, and so much more. She also leads a middle school LifeGroup. She holds a degree in Educational Ministries from Clark’s Summit University (2020). If she is not working, you will find her drinking coffee, watching Disney+ or hanging with friends. Originally from Orlando, Florida, she is the youngest of 4 children, and an Aunt to three beautiful nieces.

 

Tony Scialabba

Director of Ministry

Tony leads the ministry to Young Adults at CVC. Tony has an MA in Intercultural Studies from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary, and a BA in Christian Ministry from Trinity International University. His family served in Southeast Asia for over a decade focused on church planting among a UPG. Tony enjoys time with family, outdoor adventures, coffee, music, and good books. He is married to Kalyn, and Dad to 4 children: Selah, Kadence, Eden, and Thomas.

 

Joe Valenti

Equip Pastor

Joe Valenti is the Next Gen pastor – leading the team that ministers to middle school, high school, and young adults. Joe has served at CVC for over 18 years preaching, leading worship, and caring for the students of CVCYouth. Joe and his wife Linda met at CVC and enjoy laughing, boating, and hanging out with their two kids – Grace and Logan. Joe holds an MA in Theology and enjoys reading, fishing, hunting, good BBQ, country music, adventures, and live theater.

 
